RT to help Simon raise awareness of prompt injection attacks in LLMs. Feels a bit like the wild west of early computing, with computer viruses (now = malicious prompts hiding in web data/tools), and not well developed defenses (antivirus, or a lot more developed kernel/user…
If you use "AI agents" (LLMs that call tools) you need to be aware of the Lethal Trifecta Any time you combine access to private data with exposure to untrusted content and the ability to externally communicate an attacker can trick the system into stealing your data!
welcome 🥳
We’re excited to welcome Ant Rowstron as ARIA’s first Chief Technology Officer. Ant will be a driving force for attracting bold, new technical ideas to ARIA. He'll help refine our strategy, champion our programmes, and consolidate ARIA as a place for scientific talent to thrive.

A few thoughts. (1). Scenario planning is cheap. It is worth thinking about what we would do in the event of labor market disruptions, even if we attach a small percentage chance to any particular scenario occurring. @jasonfurman
Just back from the @ARIA_research Summit in London and there was a, dare I say, Silicon Valley energy in the air. Bold ambition. Civilization-scale thinking. A bias toward real-world impact over ivory tower abstraction. Optimistic about the future of the UK!
We hosted the @ARIA_research Summit this week, so it seems a good time to reflect on the progress we've made over the last two years... 1/ ARIA is taking a new approach to funding breakthrough R&D to catalyse new trillion-pound industries anchored in the UK 🇬🇧 - a thread...
Fantastic week at the @ARIA_research Summit. Felt like a nexus of the most ambitious ideas + optimistic builders from both sides of the Atlantic. Probably the most bullish I’ve felt on the UK in a decade
