ODF IMT 1 has taken command of the Hagelstein Fire, which is about 14 miles north of Klamath Falls near Highway 97. The team is now managing both the Elk and Hagelstein fires, continuing to provide critical support to local districts.

Heat Advisories are in effect for the Lower Columbia Basin/Gorge and adjacent foothills and valleys from Saturday through Monday. Sunday will be the hottest day, with temps between 100 to 105 in those areas, with mid to upper 90s elsewhere in the lower elevations. #orwx #wawx

Last month, @CALFIRE_CHIEF Joe Tyler and Oregon State Forester Kate Skinner met with fire program leaders from both agencies at ODF headquarters in Salem, OR to discuss and review opportunities to improve the state to state agreement for fire management between the agencies.
