#OTD 1944,my great uncles unit, 267 Pegasus Sqd & his aircraft, KG477,was to pick up the injured Randolph Churchill, Evelyn Waugh, Philip Jordan & others, after their aircraft crashed on the island of Vis,from a meeting with Tito for the Maclean Mission. Crew & 6 others were KIA.
