NonQualifyingLeaseholders

"Unqualified" excluded Leaseholders- uniting to end discrimination by the #BuildingSafetyAct. Victims sharing issues & advocating for justice.
A year since @UKLabour came to power with manifesto commitments to fix the cladding and building safety scandal. But on the ground, nothing has changed. Our @BritSafe opinion piece 👇 britsafe.org/safety-managem…
My son worked on new builds ( he’s a plumber) and he said it’s common knowledge on site that they are built to last about 25yrs. I’ve got two plumbers, two electricians and two decorators in my immediate family and not one would buy a new build
This Govt has made no material changes to the previous govt's policy choices on the building safety crisis. They continue to make some leaseholders pay to fix defects they didn't cause and 'enforcement' leads to people being decanted and made homeless. 2/n

We have a third non qualifying at our site. Our RFA freeholder is weighing up whether they should pierce the corporate veil of our orphan building. If it's cheaper for them to charge the NQs rather than chase the developer, then the NQs will be on the hook. It's disgraceful.
Judicial Review Day 1: @LiamSpender analyses the first day of the JR, which did not go in the freeholders' favour. @mtpennycook @josephpowell @NLC_2019 @EOCS_Official @FreeLeasehlders leaseholdknowledge.com/judicial-revie…
They're content with the BTLs who are sharing the responsibility of historical building safety defects though. They want it all.
@NonQualifyingLH Points made about ground 9 (link above) might be useful for buildings only considered “leaseholder-owned” due to a freeholder owning some leases. This specifically relates to a developer who is also a FH, but worth seeking advice if arguments here are applicable.
Do you have non qualified leaseholders here or is the developer liable for it all? How are ordinary leaseholders meant to pay these kind of figures?
“Any building whatever the height…needs to be made safe..height determinant of risk but it’s not the sole factor. Hopeful BSR role..will help improve the culture BUT concerned still just talking about height” 🚦System being gamed- at risk to lives @mhclg @AlexJJNorris
