Postdocs do a lot of invisible labor in academia. The majority of which is helping PhD students. Many of us are happy to do it, but when students fail to acknowledge that help, especially in front of the PI, it kinda kills the vibe. Give people credit for their work.

I truly love my advisor🥹. PhD programs are already tough enough but having an advisor who sees you as a human being and supports your journey makes the process so much more manageable. When you’re applying to these programs make sure the people you seek to work under are KIND.

I've noticed a troubling trend among PhD+Postdocs: fear of openly sharing research or seeking help due to worries that it'll lead to co-authorship & stolen credit. This distrust, fueled by toxic leadership/PIs, threatens the essence & collab spirit needed for scientific progress
