A typical family farm would have to put 159% of annual profits into paying the new inheritance tax every year for a decade and could have to sell 20% of their land, according to analysis by the Country and Land Business Association. A typical 200-acre farm owned by one person…
Is taxpayers' money just a myth? youtu.be/mqSBiLfcNS4?si… In this video, I explain why your taxes do not fund government spending, how government money is actually created, and why the taxpayer's money myth exists to serve an agenda of austerity.
Poor Ben he finds things difficult as his knowledge of housing is non-existent. [He was annoyed with me actually presenting evidence so he blocked me!!]
Oh Ben! Does it make you feel BIG AND IMPORTANT when you lie? Esp when you announce other people are WRONG. I can see why you were a Government Adviser in the Shorter Lived than a Lettuce Truss Prime Ministership.

In the fantasy land of Yimbyland certain weird beliefs are common - that its impossible to build houses, particularly if bats and newts are in the area; house prices arise because of a lack of supply; there are huge areas of empty space out there to develop;
; developers only want to help people in housing need; holiday homes are a good use of resources; environmental groups and individuals are part of conspiracy against progress.
In reality, lots of houses get built each year, we now have a surplus of 1.5 million; developers seek the market with the most profit, so houses are built where they can be used for say holiday purposes;
house prices increase largely because houses are also assets – low returns elsewhere have encouraged people to buy property; many buyers seek a profit from houses; we are short of land!
cornwallecon.com/post/high-hous… For all those who lack any understanding of the housing market!
To those who rabbit on about bats and newts being the cause of housing problems - they are a red herring!! [Apologies for all the animal references!!!]
A comparison on UK areas with other European states indicates that most have surplus dwellings! cornwallecon.com/post/dwellings…
Again all those who think we need more dwellings as in France - need to realise that there are lots of empty unused dwellings there! cornwallecon.com/post/france-ta…
For those having problems with housing numbers. cornwallecon.com/post/the-housi…
Anyone who uses the term 'Nimby' against those who object to a particular proposal is not only being abusive but they show they lack the ability to argue their case.
Bank Underground 2023: High house prices? Dwellings are assets, “values” are determined by MARGINAL sales +these are affected by interest rates & money supply. 20 yrs ultra-low real interest rates compounds asset values & transfers wealth to older people. cornwallecon.com/post/high-hous…
Sheer madness to deny Barnet a return to... Barnet. Worst elements of local government and planning decisions on display here, all entirely believable.
Verdict: Barnet Labour councillors unite to reject the application. So almost £3m of investment, dozens of new jobs, a new health centre and a community sports facility are all rejected. The future of the 137-year-old football club is left precarious. Meanwhile Barnet Council…
