Since I love reading, this'll be a thread of all the #books I read this year, and one favourite quote / thought I highlighted in them. 🧵 And of course if you're in London and want to borrow any, hit me up anytime. 📚👇
Sometimes you can have nice things for free. Like the vase your neighbor didn't want anymore.

It would be a shame if someone used all this data to kyc on coinbase and interact with north korean wallets
The Tea app has been hacked, and you can go download 59.3 gigabytes of user selfies right now. The hack is real. A picture from someone I know who signed up just to see what was on there was in it. This was an obviously vibe-coded app and was bound to be insecure.
"what if you get paid to post" "so, you are asking me to sell myself?" we used to shame people (esp creatives) for selling out. now we just consider it the only way to exist. Faustian bargain.

Be me. Read Proust. Walk into a gallery. Come out with an essay about the true voyage of discovery. Spoiler: it's not travel. paragraph.com/@cryptonao/dis…

hinge date from a year ago sometimes still sends me suit pics and, I don't hate it. But still, my fave suit-bearer is Nanami, and maybe Ken Watanabe in the memoirs of a geisha movie.
I'm joining the war against the suits. On the side of the suits.

the king of spain is probably the last high profile male figure to know the ins-and-outs of classic male dress. and even he knows when it's fine to go sockless.
The modern obsession with achievement and productivity has led us to a weird kind of self-exploitation. Leisure, in the form of deep attention, is a way for us to get out of our own way, and away from this exploitation.
"For crypto, anything which does not conform to the standard of calculability and utility must be viewed with suspicion." Adorno & Horkheimer (if they had known crypto)

The people saying attention is all you need are usually the same ones who have an inability to pay attention to something for more than 10 seconds. Really makes you think.

Went to the library. Found great literature once again. A scathing review of consumerism.. Just what I need.

Who would have thought that launching a coin for every new post is a bad idea and does very little to support real creators. But hyperfinancialization is just the go-to when out of ideas. It's no wonder many artists left this space.
UPDATE: just to be clear I have no paid partnership with @baseapp so here’s my honest take: Yes, I “made” $65 yesterday from posting my video. But I didn’t get paid like a creator- I cashed out the token At its peak, my wallet balance was around $185… but people started…
