Although Terrestrial TV is quickly becoming a dinosaur, it does feel rather surreal that this weekend's Top Rank card in NYC will be the last boxing event broadcast on American airwaves... I'm not gonna pull an "I told ya so" right now, but we will discuss this all real soon.

if this was made maybe 15-20 yrs earlier, it would have been even more impactful. Deniro and Pacino would still have the acting chops and gravitas but also the subtle and often menacing physicality they bring to these roles. It's hard to be intimidated by a 76yo cgi be damned

Agree a 209 minute running time is a bit much even for me. Yeah he went names instead of casting for the roles IMO

Very good, but not quite “great” IMO. It felt too long, they could have tightened it up a bit. Also, they REALLY needed a stunt double for DeNiro. His casting as a big Irish dude didn’t quite work, even with the shoe lifts haha. And Pacino was too ethnic to play Hoffa.
