Progress. PNC debanked us in March 2023 for our Crypto exposure. Set off a mad scramble that almost took down EV3 as this was the week of a major Fund I close. We will not let the banks beat us.
Massive win. PNC gets crypto trading via Coinbase (crypto-as-a-service). Coinbase gets banking services via PNC. This comes just one day after JPM saying they'd consider crypto backed loans. Every bank is now sprinting on their crypto strategy.
Q: why does the board care about this to get involved in this? Maybe it’s a distraction, but some basic competence could turn it into a mass marketing event. What makes a CEO decide to fold here?
