Old Grump meets, official props from the show! & Other Stories

Haven't had time to post about since I've been a bunch of railways and zip lines since Awdry, but I am now officially a prop owner. I'm really happy to have a piece of the shows history and will do my best to make sure it is taken care of

Also a Lady Hatt because... well, why not. She too was out over AwdryEx; I wonder how many realised?

Righto. As figures start being sent to those who have bought them... Some have clocked it already, but yes - I did also win a set of slate wagons at auction which I went in with some others to get. These were on show over AwdryEx with THE Skarloey!

Now that we are a week after Awdry Ex 5 I am now very proud to announce that I am the owner of a stunt slate wagon and two figures from Thomas and Friends. Massive thank you to @RailInspector for making this dream become a reality

The other tents/stands are in good condition, some missing bunting and a piece broken off the round stand. Easily restorable!! And of course, the COA.

2 more casualties of time in storage, these tents. The paint so close to coming off and that hole is nasty, can't they be saved? I don't think so, it would take a highly skilled restoration. So for now it's into a special display case away from sunlight until needed.

And now for that surprise, who wants to go to the fairground? Yes I've managed to bag another propstore lot! It was kindly sold to me by @1969Trots, transported by 2 others to reach me at the Awdry Extravaganza!! What a journey!!!

Surprise! Nah this was the best part, my Rheneas face on a custom made smokebox I made for the prop! When I saw the pics of the body without the smokebox I knew I had to make one, this smokebox has been now donated to the Tallylyn Railway to use for the remainder of the weekend
