Last night, the #MoSBE celebrated former State Board members Charlie Shields, Kim Bailey, and Carol Hallquist. They oversaw the creation of the Office of Childhood, teacher recruitment and retention efforts, and updated our strategic plan. We are thankful for their leadership!
Senate Bill 68 will help ensure a safe school environment while also supporting teachers by reducing distractions in the classroom.

During the State Board of Education’s retreat, I laid out my goals for the upcoming year. This includes better supporting districts with low academic performance, building a dedicated team to focus on data analytics, and strengthening communication with stakeholders.
