State Board President Mary Schrag shared her childhood experiences with a great teacher during #MoEd25 and reminded us all of that educators can make an impact that lasts a lifetime.

During this great #MoEd25 panel discussion, we learned how communities can make powerful learning experiences for students of all ages through Real World Learning.


Participants during this #MoEd25 session got a front seat to all of the work involved in creating a system-wide literacy movement grounded in community. They heard from the main players responsible for the @kcpublicschools literacy program.


DESE’s Chief of Government Relations, Perry Gorrell, and a panel of Mo legislators talked through techniques and advice for administrators to navigate government relations and upcoming legislation. #MoEd25

DESE’s Stuart Smith and Pattonville’s Matt Goodman and Barry Nelson spoke to #MoEd25 about best practices and gathering community feedback when implementing an Alternative Method of Instruction plan.

Jim Wipke and Geoff Macy from @LadueSchools presented on the life lessons from running through life’s puddles and how that approach applies to school leadership. #MoEd25


DESE’s Jocelyn Strand and Shaun Bates walked #MoEd25 participants through the latest updates to the Missouri Assessment Program and the Missouri School Improvement Program for the upcoming school year.


During this essential #MoEd25 session, we learned about a comprehensive framework for enhancing school safety through strategic leadership and tiered support systems.


#MoEd25 participants learned how to successfully implement a Continuous School Improvement Plan in their district during this session held by school leaders and DESE Area Supervisors.
