Today in 1983, George Brett is called out at Yankee Stadium after a clutch upper deck homer off Goose Gossage when Billy Martin points out he (technically) had too much pine tar on his bat. As you might recall, that bullshit did not sit well with George.

Took a look at how many low- and mid-major home run hitters transferred this offseason. • There were 32 non-seniors (outside ACC, B1G, Big 12, SEC, top 4 RPI leagues) who hit 18+ HRs in ’25. 15 have transferred. • There were 68 who hit 15+ HRs, 29 have transferred.
