Keeping the Death Valley series going with sunset lightning over Badwater Basin. #cawx
On June 5, a supercell formed near the small town of Causey in eastern New Mexico. It went on to produce multiple tornadoes between there and Lubbock, TX, especially around the town of Morton. Here are a few of them! #txwx #nmwx

I really wish this could’ve been at night but I’ve wanted this composition with a landing point for a long time. #azwx
Some of the wildest cloud motion I've seen- from the early stages of a supercell that produced several tornadoes west of Lubbock on 6/6/25. The whole cloud was rolling horizontally like the crankshaft of an engine, while being ingested into the updraft of the storm. #txwx

Photos from a large HP supercell moved over the eastern TX panhandle on 6/8/2025. Besides the great structure, it put out the most visible CGs that I've seen from a supercell in a long time. #txwx

Caught a few nice cloud-to-ground bolts over Lake McConaughy as a line of storms moved through western Nebraska on 6/12/2025 #newx

Still can't believe this happened. Still can't believe this is a photo I took. 📍Wellfleet, NE 6/16/25
I'm pretty sure this is what the end of the world looks like. Supercell thunderstorm near Tahoka, TX, 6/6/2025 #txwx

Tornado crossing the road in Floyd, NM at 5:34 p.m. @NWSAlbuquerque
9 years ago today was the first time I ever _heard_ a tornado- the powerful Bennington(II)/Abilene/Chapman EF-4 from 5/25/2016 #kswx

Scenes from a stormy and dusty northern Nevada last weekend- I love the combination of interesting weather and desolate landscapes! #nvwx

Ultimately didn't like the edit of this photo that I published last night - it felt rushed and overdone. Here's a version that I'm much happier with. Gotta be your own critic! And thanks to all for the support on my work. Appreciate y'all so much.
Barber's Pole supercell over Crozet, Virginia this evening. Top-tier storm structure in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. #vawx
Last night's spectacular sunset over the Cuyama Valley of central California. This rain shower even rumbled with thunder a few times, but all the lightning stayed up in the clouds. #cawx

A low pressure system moved over California yesterday, bringing with it dramatic clouds and a few storms. The same low will kick off much stronger storms over the central US over the next few days as it moves east. #cawx

More photos from my trip to Banff National Park a few weeks ago. Such an amazing place to visit!

I made my first ever trip to Banff earlier this month, and here's a set of photos to kick things off! We really lucked out with the weather- a mix of sunny and snowy days, some amazing sunsets, and not too cold.

When I wasn’t doing workshops last season, I spent some time working on a personal project in Death Valley. This week I’ll be sharing some storm photos from the driest place in North America!
