This is an excellent place to start a further education in pro wrestling because 1987 is arguably the best year of pro wrestling in history. So, for the countless new to the game pro wrestlers I have told to “watch something from before 2000, please”…this is the time!
Hoping a lot of Wrestling Playlists readers will take me up on this. If you're like me and enjoy watching wrestling more when there's some community and structure to it, you should dive in!
I was not expecting to enjoy or be legitimately touched by Happy Gilmore 2, but man it got my feels. No joke - it is an awesome movie to watch as a family. A real blast.
Jellyroll being one of the best promos around is hilarious What a natural
I don't give a fuck about "workrate" I want to see wrestling that is designed to make me say "Yea! Kick his ass!" not "Oh wow look at that beautiful 45 second display of counters ending in a superhero pose standoff! I will be sure to note how cool it was in my Cagematch review!"
New book alert! Wrestling history is in a golden era. Sales Date: October 7, 2025
Good grief, when it comes to reading comprehension and understanding the message, Twitter is and always will be a game of telephone in a third-grade classroom. If you choose to insult me, at least have the courtesy of understanding the source material first. Make it make sense.
Its very odd not liking someone in a personal fashion, but still feeling kind of gutted by their passing.
i know it's because they don't run house shows anymore but LA Knight being WWE's leader in total matches this year with 39 on July 25 is INSANE. Second picture is ten years ago
Hulk Hogan vs the Big Boss Man on Saturday Night's Main Event is up on the Vault. Like a comedian who tours and works out the right delivery for their material, the Boss Man and Hogan took this on the road and the SNME offering was perfect. One of the best matches of the era.
Nick Bockwinkel was such a great traveling champ. Not only could he come in and get heat by big timing the locals with how he carried himself but he was the best ever at meeting classic title match expectations while still perfectly adapting to his opponent’s unique strengths.
Shoutout to @CEWlive for this. Absolutely love to see Iowa’s indie wrestling history celebrated like this. Aside from Carter, I don’t think any of these guys have been in a match since @IPWpro Anniversary show at the Vault over a half decade ago! And longer for Ash!

I have 25 Hulk Hogan matches on my 5 Star matches list and there's still a lot more for me to revisit/see for the first time.
Lowkey wanna go on a side quest to see if Hogan has any legit fivers
There’s many young wrestlers making some real choices on how they are conducting themselves as “pros” on here today. Regardless of personal feelings, it’s a bad move to publicly celebrate the death of the most famous person in your chosen field. Promoters are not impressed,
Beck is really excellent in concert with a whole symphony orchestra backing his music. Shocker, I know.
The industry lost a man today that redefined what success could look like in Pro Wrestling. This post is to acknowledge Hulk Hogan's contributions to the industry, which are difficult to put into adequate words. Terry Bollea made personal choices that earned him understandable…
In the most “of course” fashion (in the best way possible), Beck’s opening act is….a whistler. She is glamorous as hell in a dress I can see shimmering from 200 feet away and is exceptionally good at whistling to music accompaniment. So, check out Molly Lewis.
I hope @beck and @DMSymphony do the appropriate tribute and play Rick Derringer’s “Real American” for the Hulkster @FieldDazeDSM concert tonight.
Briefly looking at this site is a good reminder that social media is an awful place.
