The UK’s diplomatic language ladder: “concerned”; “gravely concerned”; “deplore”; “strongly deplore”; “condemn”; “condemn in the strongest terms”. None of these words translate into action. We never use the word “genocide” because that would impose a legal duty on us to act.

This would be terrific. He should be accompanied by leaders of all other faiths, journalists, Parliamentarians, medics, and child welfare experts. ,

I can quite understand that Farage has no idea on man’s contribution to climate change Why should he. He’s a grifter and pretend politician But I know who does know. Thousands of climate scientists who’ve devoted the lives to understanding it Why doesn’t he just listen to them

In Bath, UK, people read the names of 15,500 Palestinian children killed in Gaza — nonstop for 17 hours. Artists, teachers, parents, even an MP stood in tears, name after name. Different tongues. One conscience. Not just a vigil — a stand for humanity. Their names filled the…

I have no words left, and I fear that even words can wound. I implore the EU and others who are 'preserving dialogue' with Israel: use it to end all unlawful detentions under int'l law. All hostages - Palestinians and Israelis - must be allowed to safely return home.

The Met Office has warned that extreme weather is the new normal in the UK. Meanwhile, newly elected Reform politicians are busy denying the science. Climate science denial is dangerous, irresponsible and a betrayal of the very communities they claim to represent.
