@robertcuffe @jgregorynews we are pleading with you to understand how hurtful and offensive this is. Four million male victims are not merely a reference point for the ‘real’ victims.
No, @BBCNews, four million male victims of abusive crimes are not ‘opposed’ to six million female victims. We are all on the same side. The word you are looking for is “and.” It’s 12.8% of women AND 8.4% of men.
We hope Jordan is receiving the support he needs to get his life back on track. He's lost his job as recovering from the physical and psychological harm. The long-term impact of domestic abuse against men must never be minimised or downgraded. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
Another week, another weak sentence, another failure to see this as domestic abuse and coercing controlling behaviour - as well as #stalking. 500,000 men are stalking victims every year. Reach out to @talkingstalking for support. google.com/amp/s/www.dail…
This morning ONS data release (see: ons.gov.uk/releases/devel…) is fascinating. “year ending March 25, we estimate that 10.6% of people aged 16+ were victims of at least 1 of the crime types 'domestic abuse', 'sexual assault' or 'stalking' last year (12.8% of women / 8.4% of men)”
This reel (which got one million likes!) is the exact kind of messaging that normalises female perpetrated partner violence, and stops men from seeing themselves as legitimate victims of abuse. There’s nothing funny about hitting your partner, of either sex. Grow up.
Highly important example of how the family courts and children are used to cause domestic abuse against a father. Continual breaches in child arrangement orders, financial costs and parental alienation. Sensible judgement by the court.👇

Huge thank you to Vikki Slade MP for asking a question to @jessphillips about male victims of domestic abuse in the House of Commons earlier this month. The more male victims are raised, the more we hope they are better recognised and supported. youtu.be/j6T-KwcM7bs?si…

I call this case one of honour-based abuse, perpetrated by a south Asian mother who did not like the fact that her daughter had a (consensual) sexual relationship with a young black man. It is an example of a male victim & female perpetrator using foreign law to her advantage.
Brit teen Marcus Fakana, 18, who was jailed in Dubai for having consensual sex with a then-17-yo girl during a holiday romance has been released after being granted a pardon, a campaign group says. He arrived safely home in the UK on Thursday, they added.

Jay Hulme was a victim of stalking at the hands of a female lay preacher. Jay was accused of witchcraft. Poor response from @leicspolice too. @BBCfileon4 cover it tonight. bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0…
New project - we are exploring men’s experiences of what is known as “identity” abuse, and how it can be weaponised as part of a wider pattern of aggression and control. To find out more, please click the link below. Also please share if you can! app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk/s/cumbria/unde…
