I don’t really get why people act as if Black Americans can’t celebrate their own culture because of “colonization” when all these other countries that got colonized are still allowed to celebrate & be proud of theirs. It’s a bias way of thinking
Black Americans didn’t colonize the world though so if that’s the case wouldn’t White American culture be the most emulated culture?
Black American culture is the culture emulated throughout the world because America colonized the word. We not that special.

Sun even if you go back to a lot of the sitcoms in the 70s & 80s they showed grown adults (some even married) & still living with their parents. That stopped being a thing decades ago because the economy changed multiple times

Literally nobody I know got put out the house by their parents at 18 years old. That hasn’t really been a thing in American society in decades period, if even that & that’s still not considered a “Black tradition”
