Telegraph columnist or fifth columnist?
Anyone else hoping for a military coup? 🤷♀️
I well recall my jaw-dropping over and over upon reading the chapter of Brothers Karamazov in which Ivan spends six months trying to close a Scottish Power account after he moved house and changed suppliers.
i will keep tapping this sign until it clicks for every single person on earth. i will tap the sign until the day i die
It’s very important that everyone goes and says “manhole” a lot, or else David is going to get very cross

There's about 20 of these roles in the UK's cabinet
what are some good jobs for people with a lot of good ideas but no skills or interest in implementing them???
Bizarre dream in which I went back to my old college. I was given palatial rooms (study, library, living space, ornate furnishings) for life, free food, and a massive wine cellar. Then I realised I had just become a fellow.
Why is my LinkedIn suggesting that I connect with Rachel Reeves and Ian Wright … why would it do that …
The only sensible response to this is “Fuck off, you fucking twat” The U.K. is a fiscal nursing home
It would be wrong to scrap the pensions triple lock to cover the cost of spiralling welfare. Pensioners on fixed incomes shouldn’t pay the price for a broken system.
"Blessed are the property developers, for you shall exempt them from paying their taxes after you've sat beside them at a fancy dinner"
England, and the United Kingdom, are built upon and in the Judeo-Christian tradition. We should treasure that inheritance. A magnificent speech from @danny__kruger
Dresden. Every building pictured dates from the last twenty years, the result of a 2002 municipal referendum in which the city decisively voted in favour of reconstructing its historic centre.

God bless this old couple 🙏

But Jesus wasn't in Genesis.
A Mexican church has built a 22-foot, 2,000 pound statue of the baby Jesus that looks just like Phil Collins.
I think that @TheRestHistory reached new heights of scholarship today with @dcsandbrook’s reference to the denizens of Blackpool enjoying “knee tremblers” in the alleyways. Definitely didn’t burst out laughing.
Magnificent Test match, but to put the over rate in context … In 1947 South Africa played a 4-day Test at Trent Bridge. It was drawn. 587 overs were bowled in those 4 days.
This is quite a good idea
Test cricket needs to stop being governed by the clock. Instead tell both teams that, barring weather breaks, 90 overs will be played in the day with lunch after 30 and tea after 60. That would also have stopped all the trouble last night. So far 32 overs taken out. Scandalous.
I think we should be thankful that the demise of Concorde has prevented Phil Collins from ever doing this again
Phil Collins played at both Live Aid concerts in the same day with the help of Concorde. We can’t get this wizardry back. #LiveAid #liveaidat40
Simpsons references can be obscure For this we actually had to do research - in pre-internet days - to write the joke (& find delightfully obscure sounding civilization that in some way prized hydro engineering) What's a Simpsons joke that sent you down a reference rabbit hole?
