Democrats in Minnesota don't think fraud is a problem. In fact, they explicitly said so in the House. We have lost OVER A BILLION DOLLARS TO IT. Not one Democrat voted to implement an Inspector General in Minnesota.

Fraud estimates under the Walz Administration is expected to exceed $1 billion. Acting US Attorney Joe Thompson agrees with Chair Robbins that we are that “tip of the iceberg” in uncovering fraud schemes in Minnesota.

Would be really nice if we could promise Minnesotans an Inspector General is on the way to mitigate this constant fraud. All Democrats in the House voted against that idea. And thus:

I reviewed these invoices. Walz paid hundreds of thousands to politically-connected DC lawyers so they could tell him what Minnesota & federal law is. If he can’t trust the AG’s office to advise him on that, he should tell Minnesota taxpayers and voters why not.

Rep. @KRobbinsMN highlights that 318,000 Minnesotans are enrolled in the Medicaid expansion program—receiving over $10K in benefits each, well above the national average. We must root out fraud and abuse and protect care for the elderly, disabled, and children.

Rep. @WalterHudson raised concerns about whistleblower reports of retaliation within DHS for flagging fraud, and questioned the agency’s opposition to the bipartisan OIG bill. These are serious issues that deserve continued scrutiny.
