Happening Now: A league source told me some NFL staffers were recently told to "shelter-in-place," including some on the 5th floor, with an investigation underway for an active shooter at 345 Park Ave--where NFL headquarters and other businesses are at.
I’m told NFL employees at 345 Park Ave have been told to shelter in place after reports of gunfire nearby. An NFL security alert sent to employees: “Do not exit the building. Secure your location and hide until law enforcement clears your floor. Please switch phones to silent.”
New Yorkers: there is an active shooter investigation taking place in Midtown right now. Please take proper safety precautions if you are in vicinity and do not go outside if you are near Park Avenue and East 51st Street.
