1/ Trump's power trip is weakening national populism worldwide. Why?
You don't often see this sort of conviction and passion in an education debate, but @NeilDotObrien is right on this. It is bizarre that Labour is reversing the freedoms introduced by New Labour, and ignoring the very reasons why Blair, Blunkett and Adonis deemed them necessary.
It's not us that are warning the Schools Bill is harmful. It's the people running the best schools: Sir John Coles, Sir Daniel Moynihan, the Confederation of School trusts - and even current Labour MPs. Those of us with a passion for state education will fight this vandalism.

Congratulations to @DrJBhattacharya, whose skeptical view of lockdowns was not only courageous but also now looks to have been correct. I can't think of a better person to restore the credibility of the National Institutes of Health @NIH.
Everyone who cares about Britain’s woeful economic stagnation since 2008 needs to read “Foundations,” a truly brilliant and revelatory example of applied history. ukfoundations.co
“Today’s students tend to value social influence more than human excellence. Worse, they pay more heed to antiheroes—people who tear down civilization—than heroes: those who protect, repair, and rebuild it.”

Please listen to @toadmeister he is completely correct. We are on a slippery slope. Why not join the FSU and help resist this erosion of our Free Speech, I have 👇
On BBC Radio Ulster with Stephen Nolan last night, FSU General Secretary Toby Young warned that once you resile from the English Common Law principle that speech should be permitted unless it's going to lead to a breach of the peace, politicians will have carte blanche to start…
Lord Cameron emerges to inform teenagers that being forced into unpaid work will let them "give back to the communities that raised them" Those whose education was needlessly damaged by pandemic mishandling are owed a debt by the Tory gvt - not vice versa spectator.co.uk/article/young-…
Every village, town and city in the UK has something to be proud of and now with National Service every young person will be able to give back to the communities that raised them.
This was the Government's view of National Service on Thursday.
Feeling rattled @wesstreeting? A reminder that even so-called moderates in @uklabour see racism everywhere and are obsessed with identity politics. Get out and vote on Thursday for @Councillorsuzie and help put this kind of politics in the dustbin where it belongs.
A win for Susan Hall and the Conservatives is a win for racists, white supremacists and Islamophobes the world over. Susan Hall’s campaign has been fought from the gutter with dangerous and divisive politics. London, we cannot let her win. Vote Sadiq. itv.com/news/2024-05-0…
I’ve just come across this map of great English Literature and I couldn’t love it more 😍🥰
Dear @UKLabour. Trivialising the fact that police tried to shut down a conference organised by your political opponents is not a good look. Times change. Attitudes change. One day, your views may be 'unfashionable', and the police may try to do the same to you.
All giggles on the Labour frontbench over cops breaking up the National Conservatism conference
"You can hear the mob coming..." @LeeAlanHall of @BritishThgtLdrs asks me what it is like to be a conservative student, and what is being done to tackle cancel culture in universities. Coming out tomorrow - Tues 8PM youtu.be/BxSuMzmeDm4
Much of the misery we see around is now - from NHS waiting lists to 'excess deaths' - can be traced to calamitous decisions made in Easter 2020. Leading article in The Spectator:- 'spectator.co.uk/article/covid-…
Future historians will note with incredulity that, in the midst of a pandemic -- when there should have been a premium on critical thinking and academic freedom -- a concerted effort was made to cancel @MartinKulldorff and discredit the Great Barrington Declaration.

In Parliament this week, a dangerous signal was sent that intimidation works. It is toxic for our society and our politics. It is an affront to the liberties and values we hold dear in Britain. Our democracy cannot and must not bend to the threat of violence and intimidation.
Sadiq Khan's Soviet-style naming of London's overground train lines has injected politics into our public transport system. He sows division when we should strive to unite. NCF Director @prwhittle, Senior Fellow @RafHM & SDP London Mayoral candidate @StandUptoWoke discuss:
The London tradition is that public transport lines are given a name either with a royal connection or one related to the line's geography. Giving them political names is, whether one agrees with the politics or not, a break with that tradition. It's part of the general forced…
NEW: For the first time ever, our six London Overground lines are each getting a new name and colour. Read more about the inspiration and meaning behind each new name ⬇️
