MP for Richmond and Northallerton. Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 Promoted by Sam Gibbs at Omega Business Village, Northallerton DL6 2NJ.
Excited to join @BlavatnikSchool at Oxford and @HooverInst at Stanford. Oxford and Stanford shaped my life, and I look forward to contributing to their world-class work addressing the challenges and the technological opportunities of our time.
The race to develop AGI is critical, and every democratic state should hope America wins over China. But even more important is the race for everyday AI: adoption at scale across the whole economy. My piece in @TheEconomist 👇 economist.com/by-invitation/…
Very pleased to see the government continuing the £1million investment in chess that we launched when I was Prime Minister. Chess isn’t just a great game. It also builds the kind of skills young people need to thrive in an increasingly complex and competitive world.
Saddened to hear of the passing of Lord Tebbit. He was a titan of Conservative politics whose resilience, conviction and service left a lasting mark on our party and our country. My thoughts are with his family and all those who knew him.
Today we honour the courage, dedication and sacrifice of all those who serve and have served in our Armed Forces. Thank you for everything you do to keep our country safe 🇬🇧
The Iranian regime has long posed a threat to the UK - nearly 20 plots on British soil have been foiled. The idea of this regime acquiring nuclear weapons is unacceptable. My question to the Prime Minister 👇
The Iranian regime has long been a threat to regional and global security. The prospect of Iran having a nuclear weapon is unacceptable. Israel and the US have acted decisively to address this threat, and deserve our support and thanks for their efforts.
In our joint Commencement address to @StanfordGSB Class of ‘25, Akshata and I reflected on lessons we've learned together in life. Watch the full speech here 👇
On Father’s Day, have the conversation that could save his life. In today’s @Telegraph I’m urging families to talk about something too many dads ignore: prostate cancer. One simple check could make all the difference 👇 telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/06/1…
Akshata and I are deeply shocked and distressed by the news of the Air India tragedy. There is a unique bond between our two nations and our thoughts and prayers go out to the British and Indian families who have lost loved ones today.
Everyone should be able to enjoy our towns without worrying about the basics. That's why I’ve urged Government to support more @ChangingPlaceUK toilets across the country. They’re life-changing for thousands of families and we need more - just like the one we opened in Leyburn.
Today, 81 years on, we mark the heroism and sacrifice of those who risked and lost their lives as the battle to liberate Europe began.
Mine and Akshata’s hearts go out to everyone who has lost loved ones or been hurt in the tragic events in Bengaluru. We celebrated with you yesterday and we mourn with you today.
Lovely weekend with Nova exploring one of our favourite walks, the Muker-Keld circular in beautiful Swaledale - complete with a stop at Kisdon Force waterfall.
