July 19, 2025 At a Colorado Parks & Wildlife Commission meeting, commissioner Glenn Parton proposed that the state or federal government could buy out remote ranches even via eminent domain to reduce wolf–livestock conflicts.
The beef checkoff is the worst of all the checkoffs. They get paid over and over for the same animal, and I can’t see any positive effects they have had on demand for American grown cattle since the “What’s for dinner” ad campaign in the early 1990s.
Checkoff strikes again. Coming after the 4h kids. Gotta get their tax!
@realDonaldTrump @BrookeLRollins @RFKJr_Official Climate change is a control grab hoax that has real implications for food security. We need an executive order halting all climate related govt spending and messaging now. Food producers aren’t dying off, they are under attack!…

I try to remind myself everyday. We aren’t moving cattle. We are raising sons.
Two vital ways to boost American food safety that I don't see listed, @SecRollins: 1. Bust up the monopolies that have outsized influence over American beef, pork, and chicken processing and place much of it in the hands of foreign corporations with no allegiance to American…
When Americans sit down at the dinner table, they should have absolute confidence the food on their plates is the safest in the world. That's not just a slogan. It's a promise - And that's exactly what @POTUS and @USDA are delivering. Read more about our common-sense plan ⬇️

The independent cattlemen are being pushed into vertical integration. Like a factory worker you will only be paid a salary. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/lon…
Beef is getting expensive. Herd cow inventory in the U.S.A. is the lowest it’s been in 70 years! My PRIME Act won’t fix this overnight, but it will provide affordable healthy choices for consumers and a path to profitability for family farms. @JohnStossel
Is Beef on Dairy the American Ranchers Biggest Enemy? - Lonesome Report - 7/8/25 lonesomelands.com/new-blog/ha95g…
Great questions. Also, do any smaller independent farms or ranches hire migrant labor? In my neck of the woods they work at massive corporate dairies, and hog confinements. Both have their hand in hollowing out rural America.
Does illegal or legal migrant labor help bring young people back to ag? Strengthen communities? Do they cheapen our food or just increase margins? Honest questions.

Those 'empty deserts' are where we graze our livestock. It may be hard to tell from a satellite photograph, but we turn rough desert rangelands into nutrient intense beef out there. Not to mention wildlife habitat. Each city has thousands of acres of parking lot. Put solar there
