Jesus plus nothing. Haley's husband. Steer man.
I try to remind myself everyday. We aren’t moving cattle. We are raising sons.

Reflection this week as we take some time off the grid. This cattle bull run of past five years has been a blessing but I will confess it has also brought much struggle as it has made me greedier instead of more content. Your family is your greatest ministry.

Forecast says no sun next 5/6 days. Had to go look at some steers for therapy today. #highway20
Rain last night came with a cost. Lightning got 6 in this pen.

High winds. Snow much less than expected. Look forward to sunshine tomorrow

Remember you decide what is your good life. It doesn’t have to be anyone else’s just yours
One of best pieces of advice I heard my rookie year was: “Follow leadership not money”…first job out of college I worked for this man for 5 years and now 15 years later got to watch him honored at Cattle Feeders Hall of Fame banquet. Tom Jensen, the GOAT of Ag Lending. 🐐

Trying to explain to my daughter that Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow trying to beat Mahomes is like watching Reggie Miller, Barkley & Ewing beat Jordan in his prime. @Chiefs vs @BuffaloBills

Just a couple dudes watching ball @seanstellato #billsmafia

Buzz about Boomer had better opportunity to buy land…IMO margin across 4 sectors of cattle & also grain never been better than past 20 yrs. Choosing between 2 opportunities: I’d take industry margin last 20 yrs over less operating margin & cheaper land from 1980-2000 source: CF

Fed supply steady YOY 23/24. Supply plays much bigger factor in 2025 but Thing so crazy & great about this market is it’s a demand driven bull market. People are seeing this natural, healthy product for what it is and not the propaganda BS they have been lied to about. #eatbeef

Ranch country. Couple days ago on a brisk morning took the wife & kids on backroads to pick up a piece of equipment. 120 mile round trip only thing stirring was cake pickups and bale processors.

Even prettier than the sunset are dry pens and cattle carrying no tag

Generally not a huge fan of bedding fat cattle but trying to keep these big cattle that ship out soon comfortable. Temps are -10 real feel in the morning all week. If the bedding saves $1 lb of body weight at $2 sale price it pays for itself.

Here’s a Simple Plan to Get Started with Family Devotions in ‘25: 1. Pick a set time, 3-7 days a week (we do 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday). 2. Choose a Book of Scripture (if you have younger children, books with a lot of narrative are recommended). 3. Read a portion of the…
Just got a couple inches here in north central NE. Cattle are comfortable. Those Big carcasses are coming in handy for insulation

Picture taken 1 year apart. Bottom is 2023 & Top is 2024. Might be best start to winter feed conditions I’ve ever seen. As big as cattle are I don’t want to chance it anymore. Everything in picture ships in next 10 days. Will clean us up til march/April
