For non-HAVL intubations (VL or DL), a malleable stylet demonstrably increases odds of success over a tube alone. And has historically been a standard approach for all intubations in many systems in Europe. Important to not advance past tip, and pull back before entering glottis.

I intubated three pregnant patients from memory. One had to go on ECMO whilst her baby went to SCBU after crash section. We lost another lady and her baby too. RFK Jnr is beyond contempt, alongside the executive that put him there.
