Love to see men getting therapy that actually values the male experience
A little over 70% of my caseload are male. Contrary to popular belief, men want and do well in therapy. I suspect the 44.8% has less to do with men and more to do with the therapists themselves. I believe the APA needs to fix their inadequate training around the male experience.
I think if we are truly growing we expand our capacity to love so the way we love a new person is actually better, deeper, and healthier.
the person you love the most also teaches you to never love like that again
I suggest falling in love with someone who is not dissociated.
Tomorrow @nicolasblooms and I are flying to the woods of Michigan for a week-long healing at his family cabin. 😁 Much of trauma recovery is painful work, but so much more is about joy and new experiences! We heal by showing the body it is safe to love.

This therapist’s story is insane.
Have you ever looked at @Careerflex and said to yourself, "That guy is probably transgender." Well, that is what one clinical psychologist told him, missing the more obvious diagnosis of being a military veteran with PTSD.
I don’t view myself as a victim or a survivor. I view myself as just a normal woman who has some pain she’s working through.
My old art after a trauma bond. I called this style “psychocryptic” because they were psychologically cryptic typographical messages.

This may be my body’s best skill 😂❤️
If love makes you anxious, that’s not a flaw. It’s a sign your body still remembers being abandoned.
