I just wanted to add that our FSD* is open source, and you do not need to keep your hands on the steering wheel! *Fluorescence Self Driving
The self driving multi-scale microscope from @Daetwyler_St is out. It can image a whole zebrafish embryo longitudinally and follow a region of interest with high resolution. We use it to study immune-cancer cell interactions. nature.com/articles/s4159…

1) Since there is a lot of confusion about the reduction of the overhead rate on NIH grants to 15% (see here: grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/n…) I'll do a little tweetorial (or X-torial?) about it.
The National Institutes of Health plans to severely cut the percentage of its grant money that can be used for overhead costs rather than research. scim.ag/42LPG5S
This rate of validation suggests that antibodies should be considered non-specific until proven otherwise: 357 validated out of 1,124 tested. .
Join us! In two days we will teach you how to analyze complex immunofluorescence multiplex data. It will take you weeks to months to learn this on your own!

I learned yesterday the video I made in 2017 explaining how Bitcoin works was taken down, and my channel received a copyright strike (despite it being 100% my own content). The request seems to have been issued by a company chainpatrol, on behalf of Arbitrum, whose website says…
🚨🔬🤖📜 Paper is out! Introducing the #LiquidEngine and #NanoPyx - novel #AI strategies for accelerating #microscopy that explore how to maximise performance 🚀. Brainchild of @Bruno_MSaraiva, @inesmcunha and @Antonio_DBrito. Faster #SRRF and #eSRRF!! 📰: nature.com/articles/s4159…
And to start 2025 strong… Our work #NanoPyx is out in @naturemethods 😍❤️ DOI: doi.org/10.1038/s41592… #NanoPyx is a Python framework that uses the #LiquidEngine to efficiently accelerate bioimage analysis for any user! (1/n) ⬇️
Nice way to kick off 2025! Super proud of this work that @HaydenCStites started when he was in high school! Many thanks to @cziscience for funding our efforts to democratize access to cutting-edge imaging tools ❤️ bmcmethods.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.11…
SpotMAX, our software tool for analysing multi-dimensional microscopy data, is finally out! 🎉 And conveniently, I just presented it at the #I2K conference 😀 A multi-year-long effort of many great collaborators and users. But what can SpotMAX do? A small thread
Congrats to CBP and O’Brien Lab grad students Jake Roetcisoender and Pierre-Emmanuel N’Guetta for capturing this beautiful image and submitting it for the win!

Thrilled to share that "The Ecstasy of Microscopy" has won Best #Documentary Short @RawScienceTV Film Festival. Massive thank you to @LJIMicroCore @ljiresearch for making this film possible. It was a privilege to share the film with an audience of curious minds in New York City.
Now that the dust has settled..I will say this much, I’m livid. The more I find out about Stefano’s betrayal..the more angry I become. I chaired the search that hired him. We had many other wonderful apps to choose from. The hurt that he caused in Brenda’s lab and his own /1
