It has been a roller coaster year for me after experiencing extreme happiness and loss. Today I’m starting as a new PI @ANUChemistry. Very grateful to all my extended academic family @BiologyANU and all past and current mentors. Looking forward to forge new networks and collabs!

We discovered a new immune signaling molecule: N7-cADPR N7-cADPR is produced by phage-stimulated TIR proteins. It activates a bacterial caspase, which then degrades essential proteins to curb infection Preprint: biorxiv.org/cgi/content/sh… Congrats @FrancoisRousset & @IlyaOsterman
It’s my great honour to be an ARC Future Fellowship 2024 recipient. It’s been a dream start for me to establish my own group @ANUChemistry @ourANU. Thanks to @UQ_SCMB, @UQscience and @CMMUQ1 for supporting my application. We will continue to collaborating closely.
Today, the ARC held an induction for the 2024 Future Fellowship recipients. In attendance were past Fellowship recipients Prof Alan Gamlen (@ourANU), Prof Fleur Johns (@UNSW), and Prof Ilya Mandel (@MonashUni) who shared tips for success on completing a research fellowship.
