David Paterson really is the man in the middle - a friend of Adams, endorsed Cuomo, worked for Walden, stepfather to Sliwa's son.

Adams also says Cuomo has asked him to drop out of the general election. "You expect me to step aside when you just lost?" he says, accusing Cuomo of the "highest level of arrogance." Adams often says he doesn't discuss private conversations, but I guess that didn't apply here.
