‘The Franchise: Toronto Blue Jays’ is up to No. 3 this week on the @globeandmail Bestsellers list for Hardcover Non-Fiction. I’m pouring the good stuff tonight. Join the party and get your copy: Amazon: amazon.ca/dp/163727792X Indigo: indigo.ca/en-ca/the-fran…

The volume at which my Uber driver is listening to a dance mix of “My Neck, My Back” at 7:49am is really setting the tone for this road trip. Jesus, take the wheel.
If one image could capture the 2025 #BlueJays, it’s George Springer rounding third base, grinning and howling and full of hope. Story: mlb.com/bluejays/news/…
It’s a beautiful morning to drive to Detroit, Michigan… but then again, aren’t they all?
#BlueJays manager John Schneider: "To see the old man round the pillows was pretty awesome."
The George Springer Experience, a play in four acts:
John Schneider has gone out of his way twice now to mention the #BlueJays crowd tonight and through this series. “You have to give a little credit to the crowd. It’s a tough environment to play in.”
#BlueJays win, 8-4. They’re 60-42 and 4.0 games up on the Yankees in the AL East. Big performance from Vladdy, contributions from top to bottom and Bo Bichette sealed it. There’s something special brewing in Toronto.
Bo Bichette with one of his biggest swings of the season. The #BlueJays are up 8-4 on the Yankees and the sellout crowd at Rogers Centre is standing on the Yankees' chest right now.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone had been ejected and it looks like someone else from their dugout has, too. Boone isn't leaving, either. Chris Bassitt is throwing warmup pitches while Boone rants and raves. #BlueJays
The Yankees are playing the ball like it's a live snake this series. Woof.
If Yankees baseball is home runs, #BlueJays baseball is what you just saw. Anotheer good challenge kept Schneider on base (🧀), then two runs score on a messy infield play from hustle alone. George Springer is really setting this team's identity.
John Schneider calls Daulton Varsho "the lost guy" in all of this. Story on what his return can mean to the #BlueJays, not just defensively: mlb.com/news/blue-jays…
The George Springer Experience, a play in four acts:

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. somehow pulled his hands in and turned on this pitch. Really impressive swing. George Springer was haulin' ass from the moment Vladdy made contact and the #BlueJays have tied it, 1-1.
The Yankees have opened the scoring again with a home run, this time from Jasson Domínguez. Such a contrast in styles of offence here. New York leads the league with 161 home runs, #BlueJays rank 20th with 105 (but strike out far less and produce in other ways).
Hell of a play by Leo Jiménez to start the game for the #BlueJays Called safe, but the replay review overturned it for an out.
John Schneider on Vladimir Guerrero Jr. “We don’t need Vlad to be Superman, but we need him to be him. By power standards, probably everyone is looking for a little bit more. When that happens, that just adds a different dynamic to our team that’s already really good.” #BlueJays
It's Salsa Night at the ball park in Toronto. I'm confident that I'd be the best Salsa dancer on the #BlueJays beat. Open to challengers, but I don't think it would be particularly close.
Daulton Varsho is headed for Triple-A Buffalo by Friday, John Schneider says, and likely needs ~3 games there. Sounds like we could see Varsho back with the #BlueJays at some point in Baltimore.
It feels like October at Rogers Centre this week, and no one knows October like Max Scherzer. Story on his return to a “full” workload and his importance to the #BlueJays’ postseason run: mlb.com/bluejays/news/…
