It's as of yet unclear what will happen with Jeremy Corbyn's new party... BUT there is *definitely* significant room in the electorate for a party to the left of Starmer's Labour I went on @BBCNews to discuss for @StrategyMerlin
A political party called 'Your Party' is going to be a nightmare to poll 🤯
Merlin's @StrategyMerlin Head of Research @JulianGallie doing a brilliant job at last night's @ukonward panel on young people and their politics
Great to be on @ukonward panel last night speaking about young people’s views on democracy and their disillusionment with politics. All part of Onward’s work on the social contract. With @SirSimonClarke @PMArslanagic @Katie_Lam_MP

We are ready to rumble here at Onward HQ! Generation Extreme with @Katie_Lam_MP @SirSimonClarke @PMArslanagic @JulianGallie
Finally, while the polling shows high support for authoritarianism among the young it also shows very high support for parliamentary democracy (although this is notably lower than most other age groups) /7
18–34-year-olds also have a net positive view of military rule. 38% had either a very or fairly positive view of a military strongman running the country with no government or elections. Again, this in stark contrast to the overwhelming opposition of older generations. /2
Today at @ukonward we published Generation Extreme, a new briefing based on @StrategyMerlin polling. It reveals striking support among young people for authoritarian ideologies and modes of governance, from net positive views of communism to backing military rule. 🧵/
New @StrategyMerlin polling launched with @ukonward @SirSimonClarke looks at young people's attitudes towards politics and democracy
Do young people have any faith left in democracy? Are they turning to communism? Maybe even fascism? Today, @ukonward launch Generation Extreme with @StrategyMerlin 👇
And on @GBNEWS with @CamillaTominey and @JAHeale this morning too! x.com/GBNEWS/status/…
'We need to be careful what we wish for.' @CamillaTominey is shocked by the fact that a third of youngsters are calling for an absolute monarchy. 📺 Freeview 236, Sky 512, Virgin 604 🔓 Become a GB News Member: gbnews.com/support

I don’t see how Zia Yusuf can begin to explain liking this. The antisemitism here isn’t some kind of subtext - it couldn’t be more in plain sight.
The post, from an Enoch Powell fan account, read: "Reminder that Jenrick is a traitorous Zogbot with a Jewish wife and family. I'm sure it's unrelated that he imported infinite brown savages to rape our women and children.”
I spoke to @BBCNews about our latest @StrategyMerlin polling of 16-17 year-olds
I really enjoyed speaking to @CamillaTominey and @timothy_stanley on The Daily T about @StrategyMerlin poll of 16-17 year olds Listen here: telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/07/1…
In May 2025 alone, there were 215,733 people sans nationality on benefits in the UK, 123,668 of whom were unemployed. Why are there hundreds of thousands of benefits claimants with no nationality data?
Great to see the @StrategyMerlin x @itvnews poll of 16/17 year olds covered across so much of the media
