The first 'microhubs' have arrived in New York City as the latest fix for what feels like endless truck traffic. But can they work? Latest piece in @Curbed weighs scale, data, logistics, and the political third rail: street parking. curbed.com/article/delive…
Also barely any signage helping to direct pedestrians to the new path. The haphazard temporary signs they stapled up a few weeks ago have already fallen down and started coming apart. 🤷♂️
This is a glorious day for anyone who's been yapping to their friends about city politics for 10+ years to little or no avail.
This pathway over the Queensboro Bridge has been bike-only for over a month now. Yet still no new green paint or seemingly any cleaning—on a major transportation corridor. A modern city would have this gleaming, especially in the wake of congestion pricing. What gives, @NYCMayor?

A similar thing happened at the same station during hurricane Ida in 2021. A good read on why it keeps happening from @JohnSurico bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
This is at the 28rd Street station on the 1 train right now. @newyorkers_x @newyorkpost 📸 Juan Luis Landaeta #nyc #NewYork
This is great stuff. And I learned a new term “hurbs”! We have a massive hurb on 89th & 34th Ave open street. I’ve seen a dozen workers with carts waiting for a dropoff there almost any morning I pass by!
*mic drop*
The first phase of the 31st Ave redesign is complete. Upgrades to the corridor feature expanded pedestrian space and shorter crossing distances. Also, a new protected bike lane connects Vernon Blvd to Steinway St, giving #Queens a seamless east-west #BikeNYC cycling route.
I’m sorry, but the way that New York City’s elite is quite literally falling over themselves in the wake of Mamdani’s victory last week has to be one of the most pathetic displays of power that I can remember here in a long, long time.
Central Park is redesigning its drives for the first time in a generation. And with its size and scope, it’s probably the best case study we have right now of balancing rapidly changing forms of mobility in urban green spaces. Latest for @CityLab: bloomberg.com/news/features/…
At the race’s end, a cheerful Mamdani walked the length of Manhattan, a metaphor for the tirelessness he brought to his bid He did what so many Democrats failed to do last fall: He excited new voters, focused on economic issues, and told his story well theatlantic.com/politics/archi…
I live in Astoria, where Zohran has been Assembly Member for five years. And it’s BURNING!!!
Many Democratic leaders and donors are panicking about Zohran Mamdani. axios.com/2025/06/26/dem…
Great to celebrate improvements to the 31st Avenue Open Street with the fellow elected officials, advocates, and volunteers who made it happen at today's @31stAveOS block party!
