So very sad to hear of the passing of Charles Augins. Was utterly wonderful as Queeg and an amazing choreographer on Tongue Tied. RIP Charles.
Sometimes the simplest questions are the most revealing …
“Do you accept there is malnutrition in Gaza, it’s getting worse and some people are starving?” @bbcnickrobinson questions Israeli Government spokesman David Mencer. #R4Today
The entire media establishment in both London and NYC faces two simple tests right now: a) Can it expose a Presidential cover-up (Epstein) and b) Will it finally call out the Israelis for allowing Gaza to starve or turn the other way and play Culture War games instead? I hope…
Marks and Spencer was founded by Michael Marks (מיכאל מאַרקס) a Yiddish-speaking refugee from Belarus. Few of his original colleagues spoke much English. I imagine they faced a lot of racism, but not, thankfully for them, from employees of @GBNEWS.
Ok @Keir_Starmer, let’s see the RAF leading the way.

David Mencer's interview with @bbcnickrobinson was a tragic example of how he and the Israelis have lost the PR battle in the free world. David's pointless anger, his refusal to answer, his lecturing, his anti-BBC monologue... dearie me.... bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/li…
Pope Leo lambasts Netanyahu’s tactics in Gaza: “hunger must not be a weapon of war!” thelettersfromleo.com/p/pope-leo-jus…
The Prime Minister must act with immediate airdrops of much-needed aid into Gaza and get other countries to do the same. It is simply inhumane that Gaza faces starvation due to Israel’s aid blockade. Words alone won’t save lives.

The UK should be leading on this, not falling behind. Recognise the independent state of Palestine now and take the lead on securing a two-state solution and a lasting peace.
France will recognise Palestinian state, Macron says bbc.in/45loICQ
Consistent with its historic commitment to a just and lasting peace in the Middle East, I have decided that France will recognize the State of Palestine. I will make this solemn announcement before the United Nations General Assembly this coming September.…
I think it’s difficult to convey to kids today how exciting it was in 1993 to have a dinosaur toy with pliable, plausibly realistic textured skin
Here's the answer.....
Corbyn’s team says their new party “plan to build power in every corner of the country - in all regions and nations” Problem for Labour, Plaid & the SNP at next year’s Holyrood and Senedd elections?
Right, for anyone who follows me from the lobby - if you have an interview today: ASK IF THIS PARTY WILL STAND CANDIDATES FOR THE WELSH AND SCOTTISH ELECTIONS Thanks in advance.
It's time for a new kind of political party - one that belongs to you. Sign up at yourparty.uk.
NEW: Mayor of London @SadiqKhan backs calls for immediate UK recognition of Palestinian statehood. It’s a rapidly growing demand within the Labour Party which may prove harder and harder for Keir Starmer to resist.
The UK must immediately recognise Palestinian statehood. There can be no two state solution if there is no viable state left to call Palestine.
Male life expectancy in Glasgow is also 73, meaning if the pension age were to rise to 74 that the average Glaswegian man wouldn't even claim a state pension. There's massive class injustices in these proposals, including the forms of work we'd be asking folk to do in their 70s.
State pension age could rise to 74. Male life expectancy in areas such as Blackpool is 73 years. Something needs to change.
He was repeating what Kemi Badenoch said last week. I challenged him on it.

David Lammy must realise that we’re past the point of threatening sanctions. Every day the Government sits on its hands, more innocent civilians are being killed in Gaza while over a million are at risk of starvation. Sanctions are needed now, including against Netanyahu.
Diss is a town rooted in compassion and decency. What happened in Diss last night was wrong. Groups from outside our community came here to create fear and division. That is not who we are.
