For decades, the startup world has pushed one narrative: you need co-founders to succeed. What if they’re wrong? The case for @solofounding:

Some Contra lore: When @kuizinas met @_BenHQ at ODF, one thing that showed him Ben's insane level of commitment was that he had already bought the Contra domain without VC funding.
yep, we bought contra.com before we raised any $$, had to max out a few cc's and take a domain financing loan + spend my life savings.

Buy a .com domain name Go into debt if you have to
One of the worst parts of smaller startup ecosystems is how many of the “top people” in them wouldn’t crack the top quartile in SF but arrogantly believe they are top 1%.
startups are easy just stick to the acronyms: @joinodf use AI find PMF get into yc grow ARR raise from a16z then IPO simple
You’re not really an investor unless you make the decision. Otherwise you’re just sparkling deal flow.
“You’re not really a responsible adult until you don't know certain significant things that people around you think of as very important.”

“High culture now functions like a counterculture, entailing a conscious act of dissent from the mainstream.”

Looking for office space in the Presidio, specifically Letterman Complex Know someone who could be down to sublease to @wander?
“Ah, is it Latin?” is never the reaction you want when telling someone the idea for your startup’s name.

1/ at @joinodf last month, @julianweisser spoke about total immersion. The idea is to embed yourself into your user's environment. I’ve been building AI agents for construction. I spent the last 2 weeks on a jobsite in Lebanon, Indiana. tldr; good decision. 🧵
I love how quaint the Social Network is 15 years later. The whole movie is about them arguing over $65M. That's about 2/3 of a Meta AI hire.

Crazy impressive that something that didn’t exist five years ago (Lenny’s podcast) is held in such high regard. Deservedly so.
ive been lucky enough to do a lot of cool stuff recently but this one is pretty surreal thanks for having me on @lennysan 🫶
