10 Wins = Playoffs. 27pts per gm on Offense = 10 wins. 20 1st downs per gm = 27 pts per gm. Value players that create 1st downs & score points.
Patrick Paul is the most important player for this season, IMO. His tape wasn’t good in college. Last year didn’t change my opinion. This year, he’s either worthy of the LT spot, or he’s possibly a persistent weak link for the pass game.
They don’t have Aaron Brewer right now, and Liam Eichenberg isn’t taking backup center snaps. And James Daniels is working half a day. Let’s wait till Chicago week before hitting the panic alarm
Good for him. I’m not sure what he can contribute, but every time we played against him in the past he seemed unstoppable with a rare combo of size and speed.

Everyone is an optimist this time of yr. I actually think we have a legit shot at 11-12 wins. Then, the inevitable happens; injuries expose the front office’s poor drafting skills & dismal depth. Tua can’t beat a good defense playing a physical press man, because it negates his…
2025 Miami Dolphins season: Reasons for optimism miamiherald.com/sports/spt-col…
I could go on, but when there are several exceptions, it’s the rule.
That's one of those exceptions
Charles Harris over TJ Watt.
The mid-round misses hurt badly. Again, I like Grier's 1st & 2nd rd picks (there are exceptions). But from the 3rd rd on, it's generally not good
Perk, 🤦♂️… this team hasn’t had a good talent evaluator since Jimmy Johnson. Their drafts are filled with mis-evaluations and wrong priorities. It’s the persistent, underlying issue holding back this franchise.
In McD era they employed a 'f those picks' strategy & tried to win immediately w/veterans. I liked that & still think it was a good gamble. Recent poor drafting is partly result of trading 1sts for Tyreek & Chubb. Partly
Injuries are a result of poor drafting and having to construct your roster with aged veterans to fill the holes. More Age = More Injuries
Fins not in same class as Buff-Balt. Again, they're 4-16 vs. playoff teams under McD, incl 1-6 in '23. They beat both Balt & Buff early in 2022 but it's been disastrous vs. playoff teams since. Can't use injuries as an excuse over a 20-game, 3-yr sample size
Why GM’s bother haggling over a salary that’s 1% or less of their cap each year is beyond me. It’s NFL pocket change.
NEW: Dolphins agree to deal with 2nd-round pick Jonah Savaiinaea, meaning all their rookies will be in attendance when camp starts next Wednesday miamiherald.com/sports/nfl/mia… It's fully guaranteed, as @MikeGarafolo and @RapSheet noted. More here...
Good move by Miami to agree to fully guarantee this deal instead of haggling over a 4th year guarantee. They need him ready to start opening day, opposite James Daniels.

We won 8 games last year with Tua hurt. Tyreek hurt. Austin Jackson hurt. Julian Hill hurt. Jaelan Philips hurt. Bradley Chubb hurt. Seriously, go look at the QBs we play against this year. It’s literally a who’s who of terrible. We’re still not going anywhere, but we have a…
Dolphins are a 5-7 win team.
2nd year QB’s usually take a step back. Once those D coordinators have a full offseason to figure out what they like to do. Vrabel will be a problem in time, but he needs more than a year to turn around the dumpster fire in NE. My 2 cents. 🤷♂️
Daniels in Washington is going to be hard to stop. That 3 game stretch (Baltimore, Buffalo, Washington) is going to be brutal. Drake Maye is a good QB who will show improvement under Vrabel, who will focus on defense and run game. Falcons with Cousins and Penix won’t be easy.
NE can’t win in Miami in December, never mind in Sept. It’s a torture chamber playing in Miami in Sept. 🥵 Buffalo, Baltimore, Cincy, that’s about it. The rest of these QB’s are meh. Post Bye Week, that home stretch is not that tough, outside of Burrow. Just saying….
I could easily see them losing week 2 to NE. Can easily see losses to LAC (maybe Atl), and they’ll lose 3 in a row to BAL BUFF WSH.schedule is pretty soft outside of Cincy and NE after that though. Sets them up for 8-9 wins and a bad draft pick.
Look at the rest of the schedule. The QB’s are terrible outside of maybe 4-5 games. That’s a low probability.
McDaniel will be fired after a blowout in Buffalo week 3 if that makes them 1-2 or 0-3 (philbin ‘15), if not then he’ll be canned after week 9/10 (BAL THEN BUFF). Grier will survive. “Best case” scenario is Grier gets the promotion to VP. Fuck this team man.
Outside of Jimmy, they’ve had one great draft (2016) in decades. The whole front office needs a revamp, but Ross always seems content with mediocre results. It kills me.
Grier needed to go 2 years ago, but I like your input from NFL personnel We could of had justin Jefferson > Auburn CB, Chase over waddle, my 14 old watches CFB and can tell me better draft picks.. than fins do.. Jefferson is the one that gets to me if you watched any film on him
I’m a contrarian. When everyone is selling, it’s time to buy. 🤷♂️
I am shocked you feel this way. The OL may look good on paper, but relying on a 2nd year player, a rookie, and a guy coming off a major injury. No depth behind that. Tua bound to get hurt. The CBs are going to be exposed every game. The DL is dependent on 3 rookies! No TE
Time to start talking about football. What do we have, 2-3 weeks to training camp? Let’s get fired up, so we can call for Grier’s firing by Dec. 🤣🤣 Seriously, football is just around the corner.
I love when @Joe_W_Dolphins starts tweeting.. started following 4-5 year ago, dude is spot on almost every time.. I am a bigger CFB fan and know way amount of that, but Joe and dolphins knowledge is amazing
Maybe. But we won 8 games last year and Tua missed 6. He plays, we win 4 of those. And our schedule this year is weak. You see the QB’s we play? It’s nothing special.
I’m typically one of those too optimistic fans. Not this year. McDaniel has proven he can’t make in-game adjustments, and can’t win big games. Grier can’t build a winning team. They should’ve been fired. 8 wins max. 🤷🏻♂️
Don’t get me wrong, he’s a unique player. But it’s not like we put him in position to do anything special in this defensive scheme. Can Storm Duck tackle a guy 10 yds downfield? Probably about as much as Weav will ask.
Maybe, maybe not...but Tyreek said they need Ramsey
We played 12 yds off the WR on every play. 🤷♂️ All our CB’s have to do, in this system, is tackle after they allow the catch. Do we need a $25M CB for that? I guess we’ll find out.
The big fear is that the Fins won't win as much w/o him
