“Fiscal Rules” are holding the UK back massively, we need to reduce tax burden and grow the overall economy instead of stifling growth with ever increasing taxation.
UK’s long-term borrowing costs at highest level since 1998, wiping out chancellor’s fiscal headroom + raising prospect of more tax rises this year to stay within fiscal rules. Investors sold UK government bonds today, driving yields on 30-year gilts by 0.08 percentage points to…
Our findings show that hospitals allowed the organ procurement process to begin when patients showed signs of life, and this is horrifying. The organ procurement organizations that coordinate access to transplants will be held accountable. The entire system must be fixed to…
Under @SecKennedy's leadership, HHS is restoring integrity and transparency to organ procurement and transplant policy by putting patients’ lives first. These reforms are essential to restoring trust, ensuring informed consent, and protecting the rights and dignity of prospective…
If Ozzy could have scripted his finale from this planet, he’d have chosen to be performing live back in his hometown, with his old band, supported backstage by Sharon and their children. It was the perfect ending to an incredible career, and an incredible life. ❤️
90s Touring Cars and Murray Walker. What a time to be alive,
It’s important to recognise the huge positive impact that @POTUS has had on global security.
.@POTUS is back in the U.S. after a quick trip to the NATO summit in The Netherlands — where he successfully brokered a landmark agreement from NATO allies to massively increase their share of defense spending. Our President never stops WINNING.

Wishing everyone a meaningful and Happy #FlagDay today! With #Apollo11 anniversary right around the corner, I thought this was a great way to showcase our celebration of Old Glory as well as the ideas, principles and values that the Stars and Stripes represents. Also – wishing…
Miliband is off on his own ego trip / passion project to the absolute detriment of the United Kingdom. UK should make full use of its fossil fuel resources for strategic and economic gain. Net Zero is exactly what our enemies would want us to do.
This is journalism at its finest. I love the way Campbell and Stewart really grilled him, challenging his claims, presenting him with facts and presenting him with opposing views. They didn’t just sit there and agree with him. Oh no. It was forensic. 🤡
Apparently if you work for University of California you can publish articles based on 5 participants of which 3 were the authors of the paper. Must be nice!

People saying Onana is the worst Manchester United keeper clearly don’t remember Mark Bosnich and Massimo Taibi. Fabian Barthez also had some absolute howlers as well. The crazy thing is David De Gea was already at United, there was no need to change! Get Kasper Schmeichel.
This is accurate 👍

The U.K. should immediately move to 5% GDP for defence. Take the funding away from welfare and benefits and ensure the Armed Forces are well funded and well paid for the work they do. If parts of the NHS need to move to a private model, then so be it.
The PM must recognise that if we are to keep the NATO alliance in tact and retain the US in it , we must spend at least 3% of GDP by 2030. It is vital for our OWN security. 2.5% by 26/27 is a waypoint to get there. 1/2
Wake up babe a new PCR protocol for eggs just dropped
The perfect approach to boiling an egg, researchers found, was cooking it in 100°C water for 2 minutes, then 30°C water for 2 minutes, and repeating for a total of 32 minutes. scim.ag/4hEpmiK @NewsfromScience
Scientists and universities: defend indirects as a concept but not current indirect rates. Don't think there's waste in those numbers? We (US science) spend $4.5 billion on journals. That is HALF of the proposed cuts in indirects, and eliminating that spending would make science…

This is an important message to internalize for folks trying to move from academia to industry roles. Publications on your resume are impressive but not the key reason to be hired, and are not a proxy for job well done.
“We’ve now entered the third consecutive month of the economy contracting and if I were Keir Starmer I’d be getting rid of her.” Rory Stewart here explaining why Rachel Reeves is his nomination for “Worst Politician of the Year”. Hard to disagree.
