Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
Can’t wait to figure out how get pharmacies besides themselves to pay for this.
CVS stated that this was a recordkeeping issue and that no patients were harmed, reasoning hardly considered during audits/FCA investigations. Judge orders CVS' Omnicare unit to pay $949 million over invalid prescriptions reuters.com/legal/governme…
Hopefully when the local pharmacy can’t afford to sponsor your church, kids extra curricular activities, local charities, @IowaABI and @iowabankers will use some of their rebate money to sponsor them instead of paying their executives their inflated salaries
Iowans, when your local pharmacy closes due to poor reimbursement and youre forced to go to mail order pharmacy be sure to call @IowaABI and @iowabankers and thank them. I will also be expecting a decrease in my health insurance premium, @iowabankers
Call your banker & ask them to fill your kids antibiotic prescription once your local pharmacy closes. Go beat on their door so they can hear the screams of pain when someone can't get a pain relief prescription after a removal of wisdom teeth.

Been warning y’all for years.
This Is Where We Get It Wrong (From an independent physicians perspective) Prior authorizations are a problem—but they’re a small part of a much larger, more dangerous system failure. They’re visible. They’re frustrating. They make headlines. But they’re not the core issue.…

Schwarbo should be hitting schwarbombs in Wrigley for his entire career but Rickets is cheap and gave him up for nothing. Smfh
Not without a referral from your pcp. And depending on what you need imaged 6-8 weeks of PT. Then a few weeks to see the specialist to get the consult. Then a few more weeks. Before the mri is read. US healthcare is just as broken. Don’t kid yourself
Let’s compare. If I needed an MRI, in Canada 🇨🇦 I would expect to wait 16.2 WEEKS (more than 3 weeks longer than the wait in 2023), but in the USA 🇺🇸 I could get one tomorrow at 1:15 PM 😁 Why do Canadians accept this?
This will be most states. It’s unfortunate we’ve let PBMs get this far.
With all the rite aid closures, Delaware BOP has enacted a state of emergency where other state licensed RPhs in good standing can work to help with the pharmacy load. Was asked today if I want to go to one of our stores on my day off Don’t know how much I hate myself yet.
CVS decided unilaterally they would change payment methods to daily instead of weekly. Instead of paying the normally weekly payment plus the daily payment, they just kept the weekly one. Essentially floating themselves 7 days worth of claims from every pharmacy in the country
Every independent pharmacy in the country just paid the 95 million dollar fine for @cvs. Absolute trash
Every independent pharmacy in the country just paid the 95 million dollar fine for @cvs. Absolute trash
What this REALLY means is @CVSHealth is going to hang onto 75% of the money that they currently owe us under law and pay that out over the next week killing our cash flow to pay their million dollar fines. @RepAuchincloss @ChuckGrassley @RonWyden @RepBuddyCarter @FTC
You literally cosponsored a bill which would eliminate the reason drugs are overpriced.
Big Pharma companies like Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer charge Americans the highest drug prices in the WORLD while often paying ZERO dollars in federal taxes themselves. Why? Because our tax system is rigged. Now, Republicans want to make it worse. I'm fighting back.
100%. The wholesalers are next. Wholesaler-PSAO combos are as bad as PBM owned pharmacies. I have no idea how pharmacies enroll in a PSAO that requires you to use a wholesaler and vice versa. They’re signing your contracts knowing what you’re reimbursed and what youre buying at
What's a GCR ? Its when the distributor the pharmacy buys meds from, requires them to buy 70%+ of their generics from them. The distributors do this because PBMs wont let distributors buy at the same net price that PBMs get after fees and rebates. Which means they make just a…

ABI is disappointed in the signing of SF 383. This bill drives up pharmacy costs with no clear benefit to patients. Iowans—businesses & employees—will pay the price. Full statement: iowaabi.org/news/press-rel… #ialegis
#SF383 signed into law today by @IAGovernor !!!! Thank you to everyone that reached out to a Rep or Senator in Iowa. You protected your choice for pharmacy and protected so many generations of pharmacies and communities from losing access to their pharmacy!!!
Another red state with a solid PBM reform bill this session. That add Montana to Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, etc. I’m looking forward to @IAGovernor signing SF383 to add Iowa to that list and protect pharmacy access in the Hawkeye State!
