Rep. Jim Nash
@JimNashMN
MN State Representative District 48A (6th term) House Republican Whip Prepared and Paid for by Jim Nash for Minnesota
So grateful for the amazing work of the members of law enforcement who have worked tirelessly to track down and arrest the murderer Vance Boelter.

I’m sickened and disturbed by the murder of my colleague Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark as well as the shooting of John Hoffman and his wife Yvette. Political differences are solved via debate and consensus, not violence.
If you’re like me you may have gotten several of these today. I recognized that it’s a scam and am glad that DVS has verified this in a formal email. When you get texts/emails/electronic messages with something “scary” like this always take a minute to assess. Don’t pay ever

Rep. @JimNashMN explains the importance of passing this bill as soon as possible: "These 640 families don't want to be used as a bargaining chip... you can act today on a standalone bill and show those families that you recognize that this is urgent."
BREAKING: House Republicans just moved to declare an urgency to immediately pass a bill to support the 600+ miners who were laid off earlier this year. Rep. @SpencerIgoMN (R-Wabana Township): "This bill has moved through two committees with a unanimous vote... I see this as…
Rep. Sencer-Mura (D-Minneapolis) joins Rep. Noor in calling for tax increases: "We have the option as a state to raise revenue, but Republicans have taken that off the table."
Rep. Mohamud Noor (D-Minneapolis) just said the quiet part out loud: "If we were in charge on this other side, we would have just increased taxes to pay for it."
This is gaslighting What they’re not telling you is that the DFL had agreed to the provision AND had passed the bill with that language in it out of TWO prior committees.
I was horrified to learn of the terrorist attacks in India today and condemn this cowardice . I offer my condolences and support to those impacted. I’ve spent a lot of time with the Asian Indian community here in MN and have come to greatly appreciate them. @HinduSocietyMN

Another damaging plan from the Governor. Shifting the weight of bad policies and shortfalls onto counties. Ask a homeowner if they think this is a good idea. I’ve tried to take this week off to clear my head after deadline but this is a solid HELL NO!

I guess notable “firsts” are only covered by the Star Tribune if you have “DFL” after your name? This is a good article to read @LisaDemuthMN is such an amazing leader and I can’t imagine why the @StarTribune has been dismissive on her as Speaker. startribune.com/counterpoint-h…
WATCH: While opposing a bill to return future surplus dollars to taxpayers, Rep. Jordan (D-Minneapolis) admitted that the unfunded mandates passed by the Democrat trifecta last biennium have put financial strain on school districts across the state. She then argues that the bill…
Update on the training material used by MN MMB that @AlphaNewsMN brought to my attention. Commissioner Campbell came to committee today and detailed the use of it and how she intends to rectify the problem. I’ll stay on top of this. Read the article alphanews.org/state-official…
My bill HF3 just cleared Ways and Means and is on its way to the General Register! It is a bill to lessen the propensity of Fraud Waste and Abuse. It will be on the floor soon. DFL members voted against it even though in the Senate it’s a bipartisan bill revisor.mn.gov/bills/bill.php…
20F feels like spring after shoveling. So being a Minnesotan I made a personal choice to celebrate this sunny day with a cigar.
