Absolutely @MarlonTag but it is a question I am going to ask , as 1 person I know so many senior officers in both the police and local authority that knew about this received our reports, read our intelligence submissions and did nothing , yet the NCA come to Rotherham…
I am seriously concerned that mandatory reporting may not lead to criminal charges for professionals who fail to report. This is an issue that needs to be addressed. We will see how this unfolds.
One question I don’t think was answered today and I can’t find any additional information Mandatory reporting … will this be in retrospect or will all those in a position of power that knew about and ignored this terrible child abuse crime, still not be held to account?
Just arrived home, after reading , speaking to and listening to so many survivors today, they need so much credit for where we are today with Baroness Casey’s report … can you even begin to imagine … - not been believed as a child - sharing your story over and over again -…
Can we add 23 year old Amy and 19 year old Jodie who came after the 2014 Jay review, who have been in touch Amy … does this mean I will find out why I was placed in a secure unit for being “out of control”, my abusers were left to walk the streets and “Jodie they put me in…
I'm still processing reaction from survivors and their families after yesterday's stunning announcement that Keir Starmer has ordered a judge-led national inquiry into grooming gangs. For the first time, there is finally some cautious optimism in their testimony.
I hope this review goes even further and looks at those in positions of power that did nothing and still stay silent

Three men have appeared in court facing multiple sex abuse charges in Rotherham. Khamir Ifzal Khan, 36, Mudasser Hussain, 36, and Ghazanfar Hussain, 40, were charged today following an NCA investigation. The alleged offences are against a young teenage girl from 2007 and 2010.
Rest in peace Andrew Norfolk, the reporter who did more than any to expose Britain’s grooming gangs scandal. The country has lost one of its greatest investigative journalists. His bravery overcome pressure to look away, his kindness meant survivors trusted him. Hero.
Devastated to hear the news that The Times journalist Andrew Norfolk has died , Andrew gave so many a voice including my own, tirelessly fought to help us search for the truth and uncover the lies 😥😪
Bradford absolutely needs a full inquiry, I remember attending meetings and sharing intelligence re the links between Rotherham and Bradford going back as far as 2003 onwards Rotherham victims trafficked to Bradford and vice versa and perpetrators with links to both areas
BREAK @GBNEWS: Keighley MP Robbie Moore and solicitor David Greenwood today presented evidence to the Home Office that 72,000 children may have been at risk of grooming gangs across Bradford from 1996 to today.
😢
It has been a long and disappointing day trying to do my job of scrutiny. It ended learning that a dear friend & mentor had died. The bravest and most noble man I have known. Thank you for everything you achieved, I try to honour your commitment for truth. RIP xxx
