What an incredible honour for me to receive the @griersontrust Trustees Award frm my all time heroine @dorotheabyrne. She commissioned the first film I directed #BorrowABaby & I had the huge privilege of working with her at C4 for 20 yrs. She has truly led the way for women in TV
Hoping this recommendation from #caseyreport “Review criminal convictions of victims of child sexual exploitation. Disregard convictions where govt finds victims criminalised instead of protected” means Jade’s conviction will be overturned. Jade spoke to us in #Groomed @Channel4
Jade, who was repeatedly abused as a teenager, was on a police protection order when she was charged with an offence that’s resulted in her being placed on the sex offences register. Will the authorities look at helping her get her conviction overturned?
