Hey @markmartin - So @dennyhamlin & @jeff_gluck told us these two playoff committee meetings happened over the course of 9 MONTHS? How could NASCAR not sort this out over the course of 9 months? Please make sense of this for us. We’re about to toss the ‘26 Championship as well.

So @jeff_gluck shared info on playoff committee. Very disheartening, as it demonstrates @NASCAR sold out to @NBCSports re: playoffs. Yes, NBC is paying $8bil so maybe it deserves a say; but FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGING the sport?? Makes me appreciate @markmartin’s fight EVEN MORE.🙏

Yes, NBC is paying $8bil so maybe it deserves a say; but FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGING the sport??

HUGE shoutout to @katherinelegge!🫡 Lets put it in perspective: She has almost no stock car experience; no testing; almost no practice; the least capable car in the field; she’s 44 years old. She started 38th of 39, kept it on the lead lap, and finished 17th at Indy. Amazing.

Congrats to @BubbaWallace It’s cool to see how much he’s grown since having a kid - something you can never understand until you have a child of your own. The epitome of life-changing. But PLEASE can we get rid of this cultural “LETS GOO!!” thing? It’s SO overcooked it’s burnt.

With all due respect to Ray, he should know better than this. Teams race/strategize based on the current format in place. It’s absurd to assume the points/stats would play out exactly the same if there was a totally different system in place. Most tired NASCAR discussion EVER.

pretty amazing how things would have been different if the points remain the same I believe Joey Logano is a champion, but I’ve always thought of Jeff. Gordon has one of the greatest and according to this he would’ve had seven championships.

Is it a strategy that is working? 1. What's the point of "exposing" them to something that is not at all representative of the sport? 2. Are they actually retaining more of these "new fans" than the number of current fans that are frustrated and walking away?

This is ‘Amelia’. One of the BADDEST cars @DaleJr drove for @TeamHendrick. ‘Amelia’ won 4 races: ‘15 Duel ‘15 Spring Dega ‘15 July Daytona ‘16 Duel Also was 3rd in the ‘15 Daytona 500, and 2nd in the fall Dega race of ‘15. Avg. finish: 1.75

🚨THIS is the single MOST IMPORTANT part that SO MANY folks seem to miss! Mark is NOT advocating for the old points system, specifically. He’s advocating for giving the MAJORITY of the FANS what they want, and deserve. Period. READ IT AGAIN, JUST IN CASE!
