PhD candidate at ETH RSL. I’d say I’m a humanoid trainer but it’s kinda weird. But yea I’m a humanoid (and dog?) trainer at @leggedrobotics.
Adam is the name given in Genesis 1–5 to the first human. Adam is the first human-being aware of God, and features as such in various belief systems (including Judaism, Christianity, Gnosticism and Islam). en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam
Anyone knows adam?
Very well said! Shaping an accurate reward landscape is also crucial. This requires experience from engineers. In real life, that experience comes from a supervisor or a researcher who has already made significant contributions in the field - who can help build a roadmap for you
Becoming an RL diehard in the past year and thinking about RL for most of my waking hours inadvertently taught me an important lesson about how to live my own life. One of the big concepts in RL is that you always want to be “on-policy”: instead of mimicking other people’s…
🐕 I'm happy to share my paper: RAMBO: RL-augmented Model-based Whole-body Control for Loco-manipulation has been accepted by IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters (RA-L) 🧶 Project website: jin-cheng.me/rambo.github.i… Paper: arxiv.org/abs/2504.06662
Watch my power shot. Humans — think you can stop me?⚽💥🤖
Why am I excited about IMO results we just published: - we did very little IMO-specific work, we just keep training general models - all natural language proofs - no evaluation harness We needed a new research breakthrough and @alexwei_ and team delivered
Unitree hit a $2.95 billion valuation in their series C and is now preparing for IPO. Amazing company which has accomplished so much, very exciting stuff.
So cute
A Day in the Life of a Human Kid – Robot Edition! 🤖👧
Really cool but looks like someone’s pulling his liver out. Creepy 👻
Imagine a humanoid robot autonomously changing batteries in a factory, working 24 hours a day. UBTECH's WlakerS2 is starting a new journey. Autonomous battery replacement, more compact and flexible than WalkerS1, faster and more human-like natural straight knee walking. Can't…
And this year @rdn_nikita has pushed the boundary of robot agility to the next level. Imagine what we can do with these robots 5 years from today. Paper: arxiv.org/abs/2505.11164 Full video: youtu.be/QDU_FicBPDo?si…
Exactly 2 years ago during #Arche, my thesis supervisor @FJenelten51897 and I deployed this mpc+rl hybrid controller on very complicated collapsed buildings. Two years later its performance is still at the top tier! 😎 Paper: science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…
A student just trained this within a day, no tedious tuning, no sim2real tricks, not even with sys-id. Worked in the first trial on the real robot. This explains the many recent impressive demos on G1 robot -- just the hardware. Still sim2real gaps on ankle and waist dofs tho.
