Another way of looking at it is United sold two young players they spent time developing for £78m less than they are worth now (only two seasons later).
#MUFC stand to make around £13.6m in sell on fees from prospective sales of Elanga (Forest to Newc) & Alvaro Carreras (Benfica to Real M). 20% on c£38m profit on Alvaro (£7.6m) and 15% on c£40m profit on Elanga (£6m)
Nice story this. The tiny 'biggest club in Europe' that is such a talent factory. The small Swedish club who made Gyokeres, Kulusevski & Bergvall - bbc.com/sport/football…
National League writes to Jason Whittingham “to outline terms that must be met by noon on Monday”. NL reconvenes on Monday afternoon to “discuss possible further sanctions”. The sooner Whittingham sells @MorecambeFC and allows a good community club to recover the better. #UTS🦐

🎙️PODCAST Sir Alex Ferguson long ago encouraged the belief that Aberdeen FC faced a biased “Glasgow press”. The feeling among Dons fans persists to this day but did Fergie base it on a total myth? I discuss with north-east loon @JNorthcroft. LISTEN: patreon.com/posts/alex-fer…
A great substitution or a player who should have started? Agyemang at this tournament reminiscent of Cole Palmer at Euro 2024.
Insane how desensitised we’re becoming to these daily headlines and how it’s just accepted now. Horrendous.

What I need explaining to me is why Red Bull Salzburg and RB Leipzig can play in the same competition. Manchester City and Girona can play in the same competition. But Crystal Palace and Lyon cannot.
Steve Parish is right. UEFA demotion of Crystal Palace is terrible. Palace were never in multi-club ownership, Textor is selling and their only 'crime' is not using technicalities to game the system like others do. Punish the small, let the big do whatever - football's way.
Red Bull, the City Group and INEOS all made relevant cosmetic structural changes to manipulate rulings and bypass football's loose regulations. See also: football club's selling their women's teams to themselves for accounting purposes. The sport is becoming increasingly absurd.

So well crafted by @JNorthcroft and hope my contribution helped. And on reading, it reminded me again, that the dressing room is the players room, their space. It’s why I never go in there, and I have no desire to either. Football is a ruthless world, yet full of compassion too

Football is not important at this sad time. You feel helpless, knowing there’s so little we can do to ease the pain for his wife of just two weeks, his three beautiful children. Thinking and praying for all their loved ones after the devastating loss of both Diogo and Andre. YNWA
4 years ago when my lad was at his lowest, Diogo took the time to record this for him and it helped more than he will ever know. It was a small task, but it meant to so much and I would have loved to have thanked for him personally for it. Thank you Diogo ❤️
Devastated about Diogo Jota. Tried to pay tribute here. A great guy and an inspiration. His parents were still paying subs for him to play for his local team at 16. If there’s any consolation it’s that he achieved more than he ever dreamed. skysports.com/football/news/…
Morecambe FC directors, who do the job as volunteers and without pay, issue ultimatum to owner Jason Whittingham to compete the sale of the club or the board will have no alternative but to put it into administration as there’s no money to pay wages #WrongUnNews
The Board of Directors of Morecambe Football Club wish to make the following statement. #UTS 🦐
There exists the possibility that Olivia Rodrigo and Roy Hodgson have had a conversation.
Morecambe’s board of directors are not the problem here. Owner needs to sell.
