Thinking back a few months to the talk of ‘big summer’ and the usual negative responses: ‘oh yeah. We’ve heard that before’. I get the doubt, but I felt Virgil signing again and his talk of excitement at what was to come was a HUGE clue it was going to be different this time
Absolute dominance. Uskys camp always produce the perfect tactics, and he always carries them out totally to perfection. One of the all time greats.
Hard to argue with a single word of this
If the fella who decided Firmino, Mane and Salah were the lads to sign has decided Ekitike is the lad to sign, then what any of us think, good or bad, is irrelevant. And not getting our first choice and moving on to a different target has worked out for us in the past.
So looks like Ekiteke, he would be around £40m less than Isak it seems, wonder if that’s where the Rodrygo talks/deal makes sense. 2 for the price of 1 and then Diaz and Nunez can get their moves to basically balance the costs out?
Chances are the Isak story has come from the agent, and whilst that makes it less official in terms of the clubs interaction, it would show one thing: The player wants the move. Ultimately, it’s likely to happen if that’s the case.
Is there anything more embarrassing than a red card for pulling someone’s hair? I’d rather a player just stuck the nut on someone 😂
Fair play to Chelsea if they win this, and all good if their fans want to make a deal of it. But the bottom line is that in the last couple of months they will have won two trophies that hardly anyone cares about.
Well that was a moment. Beautiful rendition of YNWA as well. Preston = all class.
Just seen the Slot interview about Jota, he expressed everything perfectly. It’s incredible that we have had consecutive managers who can hit the tone, and choose exactly the right words, so perfectly in their second language so often.
One thing that really stood out on the video of players laying flowers was the presence of Harvey Elliott. Less then 2 weeks after his season ended, and probably about to leave but there with his mates. Highlights what a decent guy he is, and how loved and respected Diogo was.
Absolutely the right thing to do, and so glad it’s been extended to all teams and not just the mens. Nobody will ever wear a Liverpool shirt with a number 20 again and that’s just how it should be.
Liverpool FC will retire the number 20 jersey across all levels of the club in honour and memory of Diogo Jota.
Brilliant news. I actually think this one should be at the ground somewhere. Put a fitting plaque with it and make it an official memorial to him.
Looks like we'll be getting a Jota Mural from the fans in Anfield soon, a crowdfund by artist Paul Curtis has just hit its target. Well done to all involved.👏👏 crowdfunder.co.uk/p/diogo-jota-m…
I was a mess throughout that, but when he says at the end ‘the memory of the title win will be with me forever’. How can you rationalise that forever was actually just a matter of weeks. So cruel, so wrong, so sad.
Brilliant GP from start to finish. Piastri doesn’t have a leg to stand on, no way he wins an appeal. Pleased for Hulkenberg to finally have a moment.
It was only right we went down to pay our respects this evening. I’m sure the family will get to see the tributes and outpouring of love and support, and I hope it brings them even a small shred of comfort at this impossible time.
