Great to see #mpox vaccine doses have been delivered to Sierra Leone to protect those at highest risk. Proud of @Gavi’s work to apply lessons learned from the #COVID19 pandemic to secure rapid access to essential vaccines through its First Response Fund:
Another major win in the fight against #Mpox in #SierraLeone as #GoVSL @DembyAustin @npha_sl just received another 50,000 additional doses of vaccines. Made possible through @gavi , @AfricaCDC, @WHOSierraLeone @UNICEFSL, these drugs will increase chances of defeating the virus.
In just the first six months of 2025, countries have mobilised more domestic funding for Gavi-supported vaccines than they did in the entire year of 2022. Commendable progress and commitment to sustainable financing!
