Another major win in the fight against #Mpox in #SierraLeone as #GoVSL @DembyAustin @npha_sl just received another 50,000 additional doses of vaccines. Made possible through @gavi , @AfricaCDC, @WHOSierraLeone @UNICEFSL, these drugs will increase chances of defeating the virus.

A really productive meeting yesterday afternoon with @lastmilehealth as @DembyAustin smartly articulated his vision of providing quality healthcare for the people of #SierraLeone. Both parties expressed strong desire to fully collaborate and improve health outcome for all.

“I have confidence, I have hope and I have trust in your ability to improve healthcare in this country.” @DembyAustin was addressing hospital matrons earlier today on the issues of improving ethical standards, professionalism, compassion & pride in providing care to patients.

Yesterday, #MoH’s @DembyAustin received a delegation from @orange Foundation to discuss ways of possible collaboration in the health sector. Orange expressed interest in supporting the Minister’s vision to continue expanding progress in maternal health across the country.

Another major boost in the fight against MPox as @DembyAustin @npha_sl just received 8 additional new vehicles from @WHOSierraLeone. These are meant to support frontline workers detect cases early, improve on response time and break community transmission of the virus.

Very fruitful deliberations this morning between #MoH @DembyAustin and @MoCTI_SL on the endless possibilities of joint collaboration on leveraging technology in healthcare. Discussions include urgent need to integrate digital solutions to monitor punctuality & staff performance.

Two philanthropists, PC Paul Ngegba Saquee & Papa Chandaka, today handed over keys of a newly constructed 24-bed anex building at Koidu Government Hospital in Kono. The facility will serve as a special treatment center for community elders and other important visitors.
