Years ago, I asked a supermarket chain executive why his company allows "food deserts" in poor black neighborhoods. He said the color of $ is green, so race isn't it. It's that their stores there lost too much money from shoplifting to be viable.

Because they’re not real. Wives who don’t work have always existed and their decision not to work is driven by economic security not “traditional values”. It’s a luxury not a lifestyle.
Pretty spot on from Daniel. (The only thing I’d take issue with is “real” food. There are effective and ineffective foods for fitness goals.) That said, much of the obesity epidemic *is* choice-based. AI makes creating diet and exercise structure arguably easier than it’s ever…
My issue with the MAHA trend is that many believe the problem with their diet is the artificial dyes in cereal or syrup in soda. NO The problem is that you eat cereal and drink soda. Eat actual food: steak, vegetables, fruits, eggs, fish.
