Living through war rewires the mind in ways few can imagine. My essay confronts the dark truth of craving the sounds of survival – and the fragile hope for peace to break this cycle. Read here: patreon.com/posts/adrenali…
A complete disaster. This will only fuel all those in Europe who think helping Ukraine is pointless, not to mention the whole Russian narrative of Ukrainians just stealing the West’s assistance for private enrichment, a narrative we have fought for years. politico.eu/article/ukrain…
I’ve been documenting russian war crimes here since February 2022. The moment I spoke out against a law that undermines the independence of Ukraine’s anti-corruption institutions, I was suddenly labeled a russian propagandist. People.
❗️While recovery teams are still working at the site of previous strikes, Sumy is once again being attacked by russian drones. Some areas of the city are without electricity following the attack.
President Zelenskyy signed the bill into law. It’s a complete failure.

In broad daylight, russia attacked Sumy with drones, striking civilian areas, killing a woman and injuring several others.
Above all, it would be a step back from joining the EU — and a step toward everything the Maidan stood against.
If Zelenskyy signs the new law that significantly reduces the independence of two key anti-corruption bodies, it will send a clear message: Ukraine is not serious about fighting corruption. Such a move would severely damage Zelenskyy’s credibility, undermine public trust, and…
Shameful day for Ukraine. An insult to the Maidan revolution, who fought to create an independent anti-corruption office. And an insult to the soldiers fighting for Ukraine. Controlling the NABU means impunity for the government & the oligarchs & a carte blanche for corruption.
Last week, we ran an editorial warning of an anti-democratic backslide in Ukraine. Today, it’s happening in plain sight. This isn’t what our people have been fighting and dying for, and it’s devastatingly unfair to them.
Right now, Ukraine’s leadership is trying to take away independence of anti-corruption investigations. If this is allowed to pass, President Zelensky will be personally responsible for dismantling a hard-won pillar of Ukrainian democracy. It’s shocking and inexcusable.
Shame.
⚡️ BREAKING: Ukraine's parliament passes bill destroying independence of key anti-corruption bodies. The bill was passed with the support of 263 lawmakers, while 13 voted against it and 13 abstained. kyivindependent.com/bill-subordina…
There was no quiet in Sumy last night, as russia attacked residential areas of the city with aerial bombs, injuring three civilians, including a child.
Morning in Ukraine. Russia dropped an aerial bomb on a residential building in Kramatorsk. A child was killed.

In light of recent photos and videos drawing public attention to Shahed drone production, a common question has emerged: Why can’t Ukraine simply strike the facility? Hit the archer, not the arrow! The answer, however, is more complicated than it seems. Here are a few key points:
Kharkiv is Europe’s eastern fortification. It suffered 12 russian drone strikes last night. That’s the cost of someone else’s peace.
Yet another night when Ukraine is under russian drone and missile attack

Overnight, russian drones pounded the town of Shostka in Ukraine’s Sumy Oblast. Now there are reports of at least six air bombs dropped on the town.
