Ambassador Kevin today made remarks at the World Youth Skills Day and International Day of Education post event.@IrlEmbUganda's Vocational Skilling Programme is an effort to address Youth unemployment and social economic empowerment by equipping youth with market-relevant skills.


This afternoon @IEAmbUganda met members of the Uganda-Ireland Fellowships Alumni who congratulated him upon a successful four year tour of duty! Members appreciated his stewardship, support &guidance that has kept the association vibrant, wishing him the best in the next posting.




A great evening yesterday as @IEAmbUganda hosted friends of Ireland in Karamoja, partners, staff, local government officials at a farewell dinner in Hotel Africana-Moroto.




99% of maternal deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries. #Ireland stands with Uganda to change this, through funding projects like the Moroto Blood bank which will be completed by the end of this year thanks to our health partners @Cuamm @MinofHealthUG @ubtsug1



Moroto Blood Bank is a commemorative gift from @IrlEmbUganda to mark 20yrs of Ireland's work in Karamoja. At the ground breaking ceremony today, at Moroto Hospital @IEAmbUganda called it "...a milestone for maternal and emergency care in Karamoja"@Cuamm @MinofHealthUG @ubtsug1



As part of his visit @IEAmbUganda visited Moroto Prison. He thanked @ug_lawsociety& @UgandaPrisons for the great collaboration on the legal aid project that has contributed to reducing case backlog, promotion of human rights and improved access to justice for inmates in Karamoja.

Ambassador Kevin bids farewell to our Karamoja friends and partners as he concludes his four year tour of duty in Uganda. Ambassador appreciates #Ireland's implementing partners for the significant work they have done the entire Karamoja Sub region for the past 20years.




Ambassador Kevin this morning commissioned school infrastructure including classroom blocks and wash facilities constructed in five schools in Karamoja. Funded by @IrlEmbUganda under our Quality Education programme in partnership with @UNICEFUganda and @Educ_SportsUg
